Relax on site and see the animals in surrounding fields and in the evenings visit one of many local family pubs all serving good food. All the properties have been lovingly converted and individually equipped. Leisure facilities: shared enclosed solar heated pool with adjacent paddling/toddler pool (open mid May - mid September) picnic area and BBQ. Amenities: ample off-road parking. Lounge/kitchen/diner: large area with woodburner (logs are included) TV/DVD washer/dryer dishwasher fridge with ice compartment cooker and microwave. Outside: use of shared ground areas. The small port of Bideford in north Devon, England, is located on the River Torridge opposite East-of-the-Water. A perfect location for staying at if you wish to explore the north Devon coast, Bideford is not far from Northam, Abbotsham, Westward Ho!, Appledore, and Monkleigh. The nearest main cities are Plymouth (population 243,795), Exeter (population 106,772), and Truro (which has a population of 20,920 according to the 2001 Census).
By the 16th century Bideford had become the third largest port in England, although its importance is far less these day. It is famed for the 'Long Bridge' which crosses the river and which dates right back to the 15th century.
Bideford is easily accessibly by road, being located on the A39 coastal road, and offers much for the holidaymaker wishing to explore this part of Devon.
